Moblog Subdomain Active
So the subdomain I created for my moblog is now functioning. It's http://moblog.dystopium.com. I figured if I was going to have a moblog it might as well have an easy to remember URL. It's still easier to upload pics from my K790 though, and I'm seriously tempted to switch back to Sony Ericsson for easy Blogger integration. Maybe when Sony Ericsson introduces a cameraphone that runs on Android and also has a xenon flash like my K790 does then it'll be time to switch. For now, iPhone it is.

My Brief Flirtation with WordPress
Sometimes it's just easier to start from the beginning, so I shall do that here. This weekend I went up to my friend's cottage. Seeing as I would most likely want to take pictures, I brought my backup phone (my old Sony Ericsson K790). I currently use an iPhone, but the K790's camera is far superior, being 3 megapixels, having autofocus and a flash. So I took some pictures with my K790, and remembered it had a "send to Blogger" feature for pictures. So on my way home on the GO Train I tried it out and sent a bunch to Blogger. At home I quickly and easily associated my K790 posts with my current moblog. And it was super-easy and super-simple. And I just wish my iPhone had the same capability (it can do it, but it takes a lot more work).
So I found out that WordPress has an iPhone app. So I signed up. I couldn't get the name for my blog that I wanted because it was already taken. So I used my regular login name to sign up (danperz). It's not a great name for a blog, but it's something to use for now. Especially since I own DanPerz.com, which at present was redirecting to my Geocities page. But seeing as Yahoo is shutting down Geocities in September permanently, I figured might as well use DanPerz.com with my new WordPress blog (just as I use Dystopium.com with this one). Alas, it was not so simple. To have my WordPress account use DanPerz.com, it'd cost about $10, whereas Blogger does it for free. So at that point I said "thanks, but no thanks" and hit the "delete blog" button. Thankfully, I had yet to make a post, so this wasn't a great sadness. I was more than happy to detail them briefly why I left in the little box provided. I've had Blogger all these years, and it appears I'll be staying here for many more.
