Emerson "Disillusioned" with the Liberals

Conservative MP and Minister of Foreign Affairs (I think) Peter MacKay claims that David Emerson's floor crossing was "different" than Belinda Stronach's (his ex-girlfriend) because Emerson was "disillusioned" with the Liberals. As many people have pointed out, if anything, Emerson was "disillusioned" with losing. I don't have a problem with the Conservatives poaching the guy. What I do have a problem with is them claiming to still have integrity and making it seem any different when in fact they are being hypocrites. I applaud Halton MP Garth Turner (who used to be on TV I might add) for standing up for what he believes in and calling for a by-election in Vancouver-Kingsway. I predicted before the election that the Conservatives would win a minority (though I think everyone knew that). And I also predicted that they would show their true colors while in office, and Canadians would have a chance to vote (or is the word rout?) them out of office come the next election, would could be sooner than anyone thinks. And then we'll get a Liberal minority or majority. But headed by whom? Stronach? I'm still iffy about her. But there don't seem to be any other good Liberal candidates. Or anyone who has applied for the job. Some female lawyer in Toronto apparently wants it. If she's good maybe that'll work. We'll see.
